Using the SIMPLE SUPERTUNE

SIMPLE SUPERTUNE - Definition - the process of providing a WAGER TYPE, and METHODS TO HANDICAP, along with the Performances, Distances, and Grades to individually Supertune to QuickDog and allowing QuickDog to find an optimum set of WEIGHTING VALUES for a particular Handicapping Method (Standard, Knife, Knife Adapted, Morgan, Consensus, or your own Method) to provide a maximum win wager percentage value.

For example, you can specify a TARGET VALUE of Maximum Win Percentage for a 12 Quinella wager for the Standard and Knife Methods, for 5/16 Grades A and C races, and Supertune will maximize this value over the track's recent history by selecting the right combination of weighting factors for the method and distance/grade combinations selected.

To do this, QuickDog uses historical BACKTEST data and the BACKTEST WAGERING features automatically. As it does this, the weighting factors are changed and tested to customize your handicapping method so that it produces the highest WIN Percentage for the Wager Selected.

There are two ways to use SUPERTUNE. If you are an experienced user, then you might want to begin using the advanced features of the SUPERTUNE PROCESS - CLICK HERE.

Quickdog will find all the Performances, Distances, and Grades at your track. Each combination of these 3 items can be used to create a unique set of WEIGHTING FACTORS within any handicapping method, and Simple Supertune will find this combination for you, automatically, while you go do other things around the house, or sleep.

As you turn on or turn off performances, distances, and grades combinations you wish to Supertune, QuickDog will display the number of unique combinations or TRACK PROFILES at the bottom of the display. The fewer combinations the less time QuickDog will take, but as you increase that number, just be prepared to let QuickDog work longer and harder for you.

Some handicappers don't feel that dogs run differently in different grades and distance, or at different times of the day, and therefore only one SET OF WEIGHTING FACTORS is sufficient to handicap any race at a particular track. If you feel this way, QuickDog will produce just ONE SET OF WEIGHTING FACTORS for you! Simply sett all the PERFORMANCE, DISTANCES, and GRADES to NO, then Select the "RUN NOW" button.

After making your selections (we recommend you tune each track for all distances/grades you want to wager), simply click on the "RUN NOW" button. QuickDog will then go about Supertuning your handicapping selections. When QuickDog is finished it will pop up a text file detailing what it has just finished doing.

It should not surprise you that you can create SCRIPT FILES to do this supertuning for you automatically. In fact Simple Supertune just created then ran that Script File for you. If you now EXIT Simple Supertune by pressing the RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON, then select the SCRIPTING MENU BAR ITEM, you will see your new script listed, and you can look at it, and even change it.
